You have probably noticed by now that there are lots of digital marketing agencies out there. Varying in size, expertise, industry focus, and geographic reach, these agencies offer a wide range of services tailored to different needs. When choosing a digital marketing agency, it’s crucial to identify your specific needs. Once you’ve done that, there are seven essential factors to consider when selecting the perfect agency to propel your brand.
While many digital agencies may look established, some may be in the very early start-up stage with only a few accounts. Ask them how many they manage and also ask about their processes for managing an optimising accounts.
This is a common issue when it comes to client/agency relationships. At Touchpoints we are happy to share ad account and analytics access but not all agencies are open to doing so.
It is critical that you define what success is at the very early stage of the relationship. This may come in the form of cost per lead or return on ad spend for example. Ask your agency what other metrics they apply such as Marketing Efficiency Ratio (MER), profit on ad spend (POAS) etc..
Having the correct foundation in place is key to any new digital marketing strategy or campaign. Don’t be afraid to ask your agency what their plan is for the first 60 days
Although intentions are good and everyone wants a relationship built on trust and goodwill, it is imperative that a contract is put in place.
